Growing Your Animal Wellness Program: Going Beyond 1.5.0

Join us in Birmingham for an interactive workshop that will cover meeting the AZA Accreditation Standards, building an interdisciplinary animal wellness program, developing assessment tools for all taxa, and strengthening the interpersonal skills necessary for program success. The workshop will include lectures, group discussions, and interactive activities both in the classroom and out in the Zoo.

Registration fee includes three days of instruction from 9/21-9/23 2022, all course materials, lunches, snacks, first-night icebreaker, and transportation between the hotel and the Zoo. 

Space is limited. Registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Preference is intended for representatives and staff from AZA-accredited institutions.

Workshop accommodations will be available at the Hampton Inn Mountain Brook. A group room rate of $109 per night will be available until 8/26/22 by identifying yourself as a member of the Birmingham Zoo group. After that date, room reservations will be subject to availability and the prevailing room rate.
